Problems/Service/RepairsIf you have a problem with your HHR, want a tip on repairing or performing a particular service to you HHR here is the place to post!
Here is mine. I definitely couldn't find just the faceplate on eBay, so would have to try something else. But, I really wonder if purchasing the plate and paying to have someone solder it would be less than having a shop do it. Plus wouldn't I have some warranty if done by them??? Also, if it's that simple why not just remove the plate you have and pay to have it soldered. Isn't that what the shop would be doing???
Solotreker. I'm confused (which isn't hard for me )
You say that your aux port doesn't work. But your Walmart link shows that you're using a USB/Bluetooth plug in adapter.
So, why do you need the aux port fixed ? Fixing it won't let you eliminate the USB plug in.
Or am I missing something here ?
The aux port allows her (this is my daughter's car!) to plug her phone in and listen to music. We just bought the bluetooth adapter so that she could use bluetooth to do the same thing. I guess it will do, but I think she preferred using the Aux port. The usb port on the adapter will charge, but doesn't transmit sound. she really doesn't need another charging port if the original 12v port is available. I'm thinking that she isn't thrilled with the quality of the sound thru bluetooth. But, to save $100 she might be fine with it.
Actually the USB port was available in 2009,10 and 11. Depends on which radio was opted for.
As a side note ... that upgrade option also included the Leather steering wheel and Radio controls on the right side ... same as the 2LT HHR's had as standard but.... the 2LT's did not have the radio with the USB plug standard.
