Hey Guys, I have a Slow coolant leak dripping from underneath, looks like its dripping off the trans pan.
Happens after its driven and parked, and later there's a wet area under the car.
I can see from above what looks like some dried coolant leak spots near the back of the cylinder head
by the heater hoses on the drivers side. Anyway, thanks for the help.

 

Welcome to the site, could be a loose heater hose clamp and the rad hose goes back to that area

 

Look at the plug on the t-stat housing, they tend to get pin holes in them with age.

 

Good points guys - what would cause the pinholes? Insufficient coolant changes?

This shows the 2006 2.4 with an oil cooler , but no plug.

And ONLY as a last resort, Bars Leaks tablets. GM used to add gel caps when assembling new rides.

Chrysler uses these tablets on new vehicles. Just crush them up to a powder, & add into cooling system, run engine for 20-30 minutes. Then let cool.

Cost is like $4.50 for 6 tablets. Most systems only need 4.. Follow the directions if you have to go this route.

 

T^he GM tablets are made of organic material, forgot which plant. But, I have my doubts if anything would stove up a hole in rubber, too much novement.

I may even try the plug idea too, lol.
Is there a thermastat housing that does not have that hose nipple sticking out of it?
I'm just curious why its even there if its not used?
