Just finished the doctors appointment, fun wow!! Off for a coffee!
Hmmm... it seems like I should be able to simply wire the PAC SWI-CP2 to the harness that is already going to the back of the radio. I suspect it will be a pain but, removing the steering wheel doesn't really make any sense, since those wires are already avail in the radio harness. Also, from my read, the only thing required is to program the pac, wire to the harness, and plug the wired remote into the back of the radio. Guess I will find out, once I get the parts. :-)

I’m slowly whittling down the list of items on my HHR. Latest is I’ve replaced the broken rear coil springs and I did the shocks while I was at it. Nothing else on the “MUST” do list, but lots of little fuss stuff ahead. But at least I can drive it now.

I misunderstood you, I thought you did not have the radio control buttons installed on the steering wheel.

Hey it’s cold outside , 4th day in a row , 4 to 6 inches of snow, I got upset and tore into the snowblower, used a piece of welding wire to make the governor function, it doesn’t rev right up to full power but it got the job done!
As for Oldblue, it’s gonna sit till 3 pm then I’m off to Port Robinson, it’s the clubs Gnocchi night!

I got 5" of snow yesterday, then it turned to freezing rain. Argh. And then last night MY snowblower broke as well. A mickey-moused cable connection to the impeller got 'er done. Today, we fix 'er right.

Yesterday, 5 inches of fresh snow, this morning another 4 to 5 inches , both days the old Tecumseh 5HP Snow King fired up first push of the electric start button. It ran yesterday thru 5 driveways , and today again the same 5 driveways. Best $15.00 I’ve spent in the old snowthrower, I’ve had for 40 years. The old carb was just plain wore out. I had rebuilt it numerous times over the years, but the throttle shaft was sucking air leaning out the mixture.
As for Oldblue, we will dust off the snow and head out for a coffee, maybe splurge on a fresh donut!!

Mr Blue does your carb look like this ? I did find one on EBay for a Craftsman with a Tecumseh for $13 also. Best money I spent in along time.

new wipers

Well I changed my windshield wipers today, actually yesterday. These wipers had been in service since 2011, Bosch Icons. And that is what I replaced them with, another pair of Bosch Icons. Good time to do it since it is supposed to rain here for the next several days.
