I LOVE FIOS -- Evrn though hate VERIZON. FIOS is fabolous. I have my Tivo HD hooked up wth no converted box and just two media cards and it works soo good. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

How is the Fios for internet? Is the speed as good as cable? My limited experience with DSL was that it seemed to be slower than the cables that I had encountered. Thanks

Fios internet is awesome I can't compare to DSL. I went from dailup to Fios and I love it. They say I have the slowest svc. and I think it pretty dam fast.

Sorry about that, I should have been a little more specific. My broandbandd test speeds on cable were between 1.5-3 Mbps. My speed with Fios is on average between 16-20Mbps, NO LIE!!! FIOS is super quick. The only downside I see is the BIG Equipment they need to install in your house. ita about the size of a sheet of paper and is about 3-4 inches from the wall. Initial installation takes about 6 hours if you don't have fios cables running to your apartment or house. But well worth the wait. Take a day off of work and have a few cold ones watching other guys put in your new setup -- PRICELESS!!!

Thanks for the info. Now I'm really going to be impatient with Verizon waiting for Fios to become available to our area.
