Alright. This site used to show a member # under our screen names. I noticed that it no longer is there.
So. How many registered members do we have now ?

From what I could see, there is 40,022 registered members
- of those 2769 are banned - primarily spammers

And from what I could see, here are how many members were active in each year:
- 799 active so far in 2017
- 836 were active in 2016
- 1055 active in 2015
- 1445 active in 2014
- 1630 active in 2013
- 1214 active in 2012
- 1088 active in 2011
- 1221 active in 2010
- 1127 active in 2009
- 1164 active in 2008
- 833 active in 2007
- 517 active in 2006
- 60 active in 2005

Six or seven years after the HHR was canceled we are going to loose active members, but as the resale market chugs along, it appears the HHR is still popular so maybe we’ll gain in 2018

I could have sworn that we had around 75,000. When the member # used to be posted, I would always glance at it when a newbie signed up. Or maybe the member # wasn't the actual total of members.

 

Yeah, that got me to thinkin' so I did a double check - yup 40 thousand - that surprised me to, as I remember something about that 70 thousand discussion a while back.

Hmmmm.... Here's a thought. JonnyB is shown as member #1, and there is #2, #3, etc. So if DeVaughn is member #78642, there must have been that many members cycled through. Don't know how 25,000 to 38,000 members disappeared.

 

I think there was a black hole here about 5 years ago...
