PM Spamming Significant Increase
Hey Y'all, I'm just wondering if there is a reason behind the significant increase in PM spamming on this forum lately?
As a member here for almost 4 years I think I recall having received 2 or 3 PM spams prior to the start of this year. So far this year I've received 4 PM spams. Are these guys just becoming better able to get past "security measures" or have "security standards" been in decline? |
The flaw is that you can send a PM before you are activated to post in forums. Hillsdale and I try to monitor the new members to see if they are legit, but if we miss them SindyDix catches them before she activates their membership.
Please forward any PM spam to a moderator so we can ban the user. Thanks. |
I don't even open these messages for fear that something terrible might be "lurking" inside.
There doesn't seem to be any way of forwarding a message without opening it. Is the automatic PM allowance something that is built into this forum setup which can't be controlled or disabled? |
I have been receiving two a day...
