StacyHHR,
In looking at posts time throughout the day, I don't see an unusually long gaps in posting times today. This tells me folks are logging in and posting fine.
I'm not sure what could be causing you to be having troubles.

I at times too have issues with my browsers getting an error messgae. I have had issues with both Firefox and Internet Explorer at different times. I'm no techie expert but that tells me it's not the site but my browser.

I hope that helps.

Sindy

I recently had the same problem getting to the site that stacyhhr is having with the same messages. If IE is taking you to every other site that you want to go to except this one, would that be some indication that is could be this sight?

Thank You

That is what I think. Every other site will come up fine no problem. I dunno what it could be, but I dont think its my browser. oh well. at least I'm not paying for it.

Well I can't blame the Army's firewall since I'm not in the Army so I dunno. I figure the site server has been having some problems or something. It's worked fine all day today (Monday Sept 9th) though. Knock on wood.

Maybe....just maybe....when a member is experiencing connection problems, they should list the time and date of the problem, the operating system, the name and edition of the browser, type of connection, ISP and the error messages.

Obviously, this would need to be done AFTER connection is FINALLY made.

Maybe if this data is cataloged, it would lead to a possible solution.

Sindy, as I mentioned in a previous post and per you request....I experience the problem no matter which browser I use.....MSN EXPLOYER, IE, FIREFOX. So yeah maybe it's the browser but it certainly is server recognition, as well.

Yesterday the site was down for me all day, starting early in the morning (I quit trying sometime in the afternoon). It was down a few days before that for half the day-- right before than happened, I thought it really might have been fixed because it had been up every time I'd checked for a 4 or 5 day stretch...

I've started keeping track a few times, but this is not my meal ticket-- if it were, it would have been fixed long before now. I work in web dev.

It is a DNS error that isn't happening to everyone. Often that means one of many servers has a problem. DNS errors will always affect any browser, OS, etc-- there's no getting around them if you're affected. This has been going on since May-- there's no reasonable explanation for a commercial web site with paying members (I refuse to renew my premium membership until this is resolved) to not have fixed this problem. It's been four months. Four MONTHS? Ridiculous.

Thanks HHR Nut.....

Are you reading this...ADMINISTRATION ???????

Is this type of comment assisting you at all, or are you just "fluffing" them off.

His statement regarding the Premium Membership Fee, is exactly the way I feel. Until this website is managed, I'm not paying. I get everything I want, free.

Sorry to be blunt but that's the way it is.

Well I couldn't get to the site earlier today, (Sept 10th 2008 approx 3pm Eastern), all I got was the usual internet explorer being unable to locate or open the search page. Now at almost 8pm (still Eastern) at a different location, still using the same operating system (Windows XP SP2) and what I believe to be the latest version of I.E., I was able to log on...when I return home in about an hour or so I will see if the same is true at home, which is where I have been having all the trouble.
