For those who's running a 4-channel amp to power their door speakers, where's the amp currently mounted?

 

I don't have a 4 channel, but my 2 channel is mounted on the plastic spare tire cover below the rear hatch floor panel. I'm pretty sure that's were most people are putting them. Otherwise your left with under one of the front seats. I didn't consider that loccation for my install but I belive there is some type of vent under the seats. Heat maybe?

 

I don't have a four chanel for the doors but I have my mono subwoofer amp located underneath the rear shelf. I took out the storage tray and built an amp rack that sits on the spare tire and is held in place by the plastic nut that holds down the spare. You could do the same thing for yours or even multiple amps.

 

I'm planning on adding a cheap 4-channel amp to my stock radio/audiobahn door speakers. I already have an amp/sub mounted on the tire area. Just looking for ideas on where people placed their speaker door amps. Thanks for the reply!

 

you could also try installing it under your rear seat, there should be plenty of room there.

 

Not really. There is only an inch or two in there.
