Okay, I've seen on here that the torque for the drive axle nut is 81 ft lbs and the hub bearing bolts are 85 ft lbs. I've seen on other sites where the axle nut is ridiculously high, at around 184 ft lbs. Since these are so far apart, which is everyone using to torque their axle nuts?

 

According to the factory service manual:

Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly Mounting Bolts - 85 lb ft
Wheel Drive Shaft Nut - 155 lb ft

 

Thank you, I wonder where the others got the mid 80's number on the axle nut. Either way, thanks I'm getting at it when the bad weather goes away here in the South.
