I just got a renewal notice from Sirius. They want $334 for two years (includes a music royalty fee) and says the price went up a dollar a month this January. That calculated to nearly $15 per month. Is anyone getting a better deal or aware of better deals to be had? I like the service but for $15 per month, it is getting pricey.

 

Call 'em up and ask to speak to a supervisor, I've got five radios on one plan for $99 a year. You just have to be persistent, also giving them the impression that you'll stop subscribing seems to get their attention right quick.

Called today. The renewal I got in the mail was for 2 years of Select:
$300 + $29 for Music Royalty Fee = $329.

First contact told me I was not elibible for any promotional rate.

I told him I would likely have to cancel. He gave me another phone number to call for canceling.

Waited on hold for about 10 minutes. Told the person who answered that I would have to cancel if I could not get discount. She immediately offered me $86 +$8 Music Royalty Fee for one year = $94

On a per month basis, this drops to about $8/mo from $15/mo.

I will have to go through the same process in a year but it was painless, just irritating to have to play the game.
