Just joined and wanted to say hi. Picked me up a White 09 LS Panel yesterday. Looking forward to getting some work done on it.

 

Welcome, glad to have another local member! What are your plans for the panel?

 

Not going to do too much since it is my daily driver. Already ordered an aftermarket radio w/ bluetooth. Next thing I want are some drop springs, thinking about a 2" drop all around, window tint, and some little things to make the interior a little nicer. Might throw some wheels on it if I stumble upon a good deal.

 

This is my new ride, thought I did photoshop the drop. I'd love to have it this low, but I am thinking it might be a bit too low..

 

I ended up taking some measurements & to get it like that I would need a 3/3.75 inch drop. The lowest point on the car seems to be the cats in the mid pipe area and they have just over 6 inches clearance. From my experience you need at least 3 inches of ground clearance for a daily driver.. It would be close.. Might just settle for a 2.5/3 drop.

 

I know there are some pretty low springs out there...around 2.5 at most though unless you get coilovers. Apex makes a set that lowers 2"F/2.5"R, and Road Magnet makes a set that lowers 1.75"F/2.5"R. Those are the lowest I am aware of.

Currently looking to lower mine too...in addition to tons of other plans, lol. Search around on this site long enough and your mod list will surely grow.

 

Yall crazy. I thought about lowering mine but as i drive i watch the street and im thankful mines not an inch lower out here. :p
