Houston/galveston Spring Meet...
Has anyone down in Houston heard from mightymouse? He hasn't been on since the day before Ike hit. I'm hoping everything is okay with him and his family. His town is one of the last towns before the bridge to Galveston.
Yeah. I'm familiar with LaMarque. hmmmm.... I'll send an email. Not hearing from him is not NECESSARILY a cause for concern as alot of us (including myself at home) are still without power and web.
***EDIT***
His preferences dictate that members may not send him email. I asked the webmaster to attempt to contact him.

sorry guys, all faired well, only fence damage, which got repaired yesterday. the ss was with me in galveston during ike...on the 5th floor parking garage lol!!! sorry guys, but i though no one was interested, but looks like we got some people ready to do this. my suggestion is lets wait till mid-late dec to make a final destination. i go back to work on the 8th in the er. i think by spring, galveston will be back up and running. good enough to have meet. as far as to my knowledge the seawall came out okay. the rumor is hooters will be back. i really didn't plan on going to the strand with the meet anyways. the only thing that's uncertain will be the bolivar ferry. i did want us to take the cars across the bay.
aaron had a good idea about austin. when i had my mr2 i did two austin meets and it was fun. we will need a person in austin to get things going or someone who is familar with the place.

Just an Idea. I heard today that the yearly bike run to Galveston is donating proceeds to the Hurricane Ike relief fund. Could be a cool way to help people and put our HHRs on the map. Just a thought.
