My Norman, OK Dealer
I've pretty much had every kind of buying experience At a dealership that can be imagined...cept one where I didn't walk away completely happy.. I'm that stubborn guy that goes into a dealership knowing what he wants, how much it's worth, and how much he's going to pay. There is no wiggle room and I usually get what I want. I have no issue with getting up and walking out of a deal. I don;t have time to mince words and I've very up front about the deal. It sets a lot of sales folks off, and even some sales managers get upset with me, I know they do because I can see how flustered they are. They want to sell me a car, I want to buy the car, It's just getting to a compromise that's the issue.
With all That said, I found My 2007 HHR in Norman after driving a 2008 2LT loaded to the roof rack. IT only had 31 miles on it when I took it off the lot and came back to the lot with damn near 200 on it. That deal went didn't go through as they didn't want to sell me the car bad enough. (read: They weren't giving me anything for my trade in) Really crappy sales manager and the salesman couldn't make a move without his say so. That was a South OKC dealer that I won't go back to because It didn't seem they really wanted to give me a fair deal.
Fast forward a week and I've found a couple of cars I want to check out in Norman and MWC. I head to norman and check out the Little Blue Bomber I would ultimately own. I drove it, Checked under the hood, seated some fuses and checked for the Radiator/compressor guard. No Guard though I mentioned it. He said that's something they could check on it. He didn't try to sell me the car when I started laying out things to him, He knew That his job would be as easy as he would be willing to make it. I went through the car like a swat team clearing a building.
Sure sure.
I drive it, and it drives as well as the Ruby 2008 2LT I had...Even better because it was IMPERIAL Blue.
So After putting it through it's paces, I drove it back to the dealership, Got out, and told him we can talk numbers.
After a couple hours, We'd come to an agreement, But the guard wasn't part of it, They knew nothing of the TSB and through I was talking about a lower grill. Told em that I'd call em when I got home with the TSB info and Part numbers. I drove The Blue Bomber home and looked all the info up, Called the sales man and he said he's give it to his Tech on Monday. I got a call from the tech asking about it and spoke to him a couple more times...
Fast forward to today...
I got a Guard, Installed, free of charge
I've received no less that 2 contacts with the salesman after the sale.
3 months free XM radio
And I'm very happy

Guys, If you are Looking for a car Head down to Mark Heitz Chevy in Norman. They've been outstanding. Not once did I feel any pressure to do anything, They hit my numbers with little compromise on my part. If you head to the used car lot, Let me Know, I can hook you up with an awesome Salesman that really did follow through and follow up. Not to mention, I get a "referral bonus" if you tell em I sent you, So PM me and I can give you his contact info. He's a good guy, And his sales manager is reasonable.
Not sure If we are allowed to mention names here, If Not, I'll be happy to delete the post. Oh And I am NOT affiliated with The dealership in anyway.
I'm Just a happy customer.
My apologies for the long winded post.

Well hey, a fellow Okie!
I have had a great experience working with Mike Denny Chevrolet in Guthrie. Small town dealer, with all that entails (laid back, had to trade in from another dealer to get exactly what I wanted) but I will say much better than my other experiences around town. Free oil changes for the first 12,000 miles, good follow-up and customer service, and of course, great price.
I've owned several new cars and never bought from the same dealer twice but Mike Denny would definitely get my business again if they are even in the ballpark on price.

Mark Heitz in Norman is an awesome dealership. I bought my HHR brand new there back in june of 06. Awesome people to deal with. I went there because i used to live in Norman, now i live up by Tinker, i still take my HHR back there for maintence. Not to mention that they always give me an awesome loaner to drive, the last 2 times was a 2007 Chevy Silverado (very nice truck).
They have been more than helpful with anything i still come to them with to this day. Heck they even sent me cookies in the mail about a week after i bought the HHR.
There salespeople are all awesome, there service depeartment is even better. I worked with my salesman from jan of 06 and finally bought a vehicle in jun. he would every so often check in and let me know of new sales going on and so on and so forth, and i finally bought when he called about the 0% finance for 72 months. And he even followed up a few times after i bought the vehicle.
Bottom line i agree with Norsican, Mark Heitz is a great dealership.
