Chattanooga here I come!
Well made it back last night around 8:30pm.
On the way saw on 6 HHR's:2 Light Silvers, 2 Dark Silivers, 1 Black, and 1 White.
The speed limit in Ga was fun thu, started out at 70, then came the highway working signs (they at redoing parts of the interstate), then a flashing sign says 60, then 50, then the road sign 2 miles from the 50 sign sayes 70, then back to 50, 60, 65, 70, 65, 60, 50. No wonder they give out so many tickets! In a two mile radius the limit went from 70 to 50. You have the flashing speed limit signs with the date and time, then you have the normal posted speed limit signs. Bottom line NO Tickets for me this time!
Chattanooga was fun, boy I have never been on such a winding, steep two lane road, with the rocks on one side and a long drop on the other side before. At one turn, I could not see the on coming car (due to the blind spot from the cornor post) So I started sitting more in the middle of the car. No more blind spot then. Boy would not want to have a brake problem on that road, nor run out of gas!
Lookout Mt, Rock City, Ruby Falls, and The Incline were all great did all of these on Tuesday.
Ate at Stickey Fingers, and the Blue Plate.
We will be going back up there in a few weeks to pick up and drop off more coins, so we will do more then.
Saw only two HHRs in Chattanooga and one was a rental a light Silver, and the other was Black (from where I do not know saw it on the winding rd, Did not look in the mirror to see the tags)
On the way back saw about 5 including a Daytona Blue and a Sunburst Orange.
A few pics were taken, but not of HHRs, Maybe more next time.
Thanks for all of the advise!

What fun!!! Sounds like you had a wunderbar trip!!!!
How many miles total, one way or round trip?
Was Gas outta sight or reasonable?
Since you are soooo Chat wise, ya wanna have some side conversations about it?
If you PM me your phone number, I will call you.
Our club is looking for an "Insider" to set up locations and events for the
2006 SE Regional HHR event... Our club is still working out the details.
Perhaps a speaker phone conversation with some of our club members would be doable...???
Anyway, glad your safe and returned home in good condition.
PLZ, Go get some rest!!!

Approx 590 miles one way.
Was Gas outta sight or reasonable?Filled up before I left, then on the Northern side of Atlanta $3.03 for 93%, on the way up and then filled up again about 100 miles north of FL $2.97 for 87%
I am still thinking about the winding roads, at 20-30 degree incline, with the mountian on one side and the other lane then a long drop off. That is the only way to go to any of the places that we went to, they are all on the mountain.
But as I said I will be going back up there in 6-8 weeks or so.
Next time we will hit the George Dickel Tennessee Whisky Distillery.
I wonder if you get samples????? I don't drink Whisky, Rum yes!
Dan'l PM sent!

Hey, A rental HHR, I sure hope it was not the "Find my HHR". Oh thats right I was in Wilmington, NC with a Dark Grey 2LT with fog lights and sunroof. Sorry I did not have time to run the Contest this time..
All of those places are great. I was there when i was a kid but still remeber everything.I still vividly remember ruby falls. If you go to the pigeon forge/great smoky mtn area there are tons of things to do.
I live about 40 miles north of Chattanooga but knew I was going to be busy Monday so I didn't write back. This is a really beautiful place to live or visit. What kind of coins were you dropping off? North of Chattanooga in Hixson ( I 153) there is gas for 2.79.
I just have to jump in here about something.........
>>>Karen does not speed I can attest to that.<<<<<
That quote was from Alan..... he has not driven with her enough!!!!!
She can DRIVE!! (Karen that is.... I know I have driven with her before and we belive in the same thing.... "gas pedal is on the right and get out of my way")
