Greetings from North Georgia.
I've lurked a while and checked a lot of stuff out. Our friends bought an HHR a while back and I was looking into them as well, and it made sense for what we needed (wife is a nurse), so we looked for one too. For about 2 months now.
We figured out what we wanted, then tried to locate that specific car...
Sunday we were going to go look at some stuff but I needed to find out if the dealer was open. So I called. The receptionist told me they were open 'till 6... can I get you a salesman?". I said no. Couple hours later the phone rang... caller ID said it was the chevy dealer. The guy asked if I had all my questions answered. I said yeah, I wanted to know your hours.. and the lady answered that. Oh, BTW - can you help me find something? So he searched, and searched, and finally searched a 5000 mile radius for one and it wasn't out there... "Looks like you might as well order one - but it'll be a 2009.
Alrighty... we jumped in the car and drove down to the dealer. My wife took a stripped HHR for a spin, green-lighted the thing, and we went back to the dealership and placed our order for a:
2009 HHR 1LT, Imperial Blue with Black leather.
Options: automatic trans, fog lights, running boards & roof rack.
Now we gotta wait 6 weeks. Got GMS pricing on it as well, so it came in "well under budget".
The HHR is going to replace my wifes current car, which'll revert back to me... a supercharged grand prix.
(evil laugh)
