my buddy came by to work on the car for me \o/
new RF hub (the one that came off it was Moog too, so it's been replaced at least once before), fixed a fog lamp bulb....
and then he installed a new grill (and I black vinyl'd the part below it) and new LED taillights (thanks bowtieboy68!)
305, he ran when I parked him, he was my daily before my HHR, but between my dad dying and then getting laid off I let him sit too long between starts, got a new battery for him, but now he just cranks and won't catch
heathen- Will the Monte fire up adding fresh gas in the throttle body ? If so, you gotta get that stale fuel out.
Plus: On older engines that have a lot of miles, I time them by a vacuum gauge, since the timing chain is likely got some slack in it, then a timing light will not be the most accurate. Set it to the highest vacuum @ idle, & then back it off about 1/8". Test drive & listen to hear if you hear any pinging under load, if so, back off the timer a tiny pinch more..
And your HHR license plate pic in post # 5 (even blacked out) clearly still shows your plate letters & numbers.. Just an FYI..

there was maybe only 1/8-1/4 of a tank in it, I had actually went and got a 5 gal can of ethanol-free back when I was gonna pull it out and clean it up, but when it didn't start I didn't bother putting it in... it fired up nicely after I did
I've taken it out just around the neighborhood the last couple weekends, it's got issues and needs a rebuild, that's why I got the HHR, because it was begging me to retire, but at least he's running until I can get more work done

Cool, that it is running anyhow. Dump some Seafoam.® in the tank to help clean it up.
