Citgo Station

Good day Y'all, I'm going to be cruising down from Canada along I-15 from the border through Idaho, Salt Lake City and down to Zion. From Zion I'll be on my way to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon going across the dam at Lake Powell. From there I'm going east to Albequerque down to Carlsbad.

Can anyone tell me if there are any Citgo stations along the way? I'm specifically interested in any that might be along the major interstates particularly in Salt Lake City and in Albequerque. I tried to check on the Citgo site but their mapping feature was not working properly.

Should be a fun trip.

Not sure where they are in that area, but go to Mapquest.com and map the route there. You can then go in and add locations along the way and then edit and look for businesses in the area. It will update your map and show you where what you are looking for is located.

I mapped out a trip from Denver to Tulsa like I would be using for the Kicks on Route 66 HHR run in July, and added Conoco in Salina KS and here's what I got. See what you think.

No, I don't believe you will find any. I THINK Citgo is a Central Plains, Mid-Western and Southern State brand.

This may help, which was taken from a fuel industry news letter......

Citgo will focus its activities on its markets in the Northeast, the South and Mid-Atlantic, and part of the Mid-West, where its refineries are located. Citgo has eight refineries in the U.S., which are located in Lake Charles, Louisiana; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Lemont, Illinois

I was pretty sure that I wasn't going to find any out in my direction of travel. I've been down I-15 to Salt Lake 3 times and I haven't seen any before.

I know they exist in Houston and Chicago (I think) because I've been there before.

Too bad.

I don't care for their owners attitude toward the USA. At least the Saudi's smile while they stick it to us.

Hey Mike? What was the name of that company that you work for again?

Are you stopping for tea on your way by?
