MizzouHHR (Doug) and his lovely wife and really cute kids are here in Denver for the week. We met at their hotel and then went to Country Buffet for dinner. Had a great time and lots of chatting about HHR's and other things. Took a few pics...but not as many as I would have liked to, as we were hit by a rainstorm and hail and the weather wasn't very nice outside.

When his wife and daughter and I walked out of the hotel and he went to get their car, we saw this in front of the hotel. Just had to take a picture. You can also see the hail piled up against the curb.



Doug picking leaves off his HHRafter hail storm went through. No damage...just a mess of leaves all over his HHR.

Nice pinstriping job on Sebastian and he did it himself. Looked great.



Also took a picture of a car we saw go by the window when we were eating. It was a guy who is a die hard Jeff Gordon fan who came into the restaurant with his wife all decked out in Jeff Gordon apparel. When we got ready to leave, the car pulled up in front of the restaurant, so I snapped this photo as well. Now this is what I call a die hard NASCAR fan...and I thought I was bad.

Nice to see you folks finally met... Doug, his wife and kids are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. Sounds like you folks had a good time despite the weather.

Now we need to get Deb out here to the St. Louis area to hang out for a bit... Bet she would love the NASCAR Theme Park area of the Mills...

I might get a road trip going one of these days...depends on $$$ and being able to get time off work. Will definitely let you guys know when I am able to do that. Would love to meet up with all the folks in the Mid Central region for sure.

Yes...Doug and his family are great people. He's already having forum withdrawals and is looking forward to being able to get online when he returns. He'll have a few more photos as well.

How great that you got to get that visit in and NO HAIL DAMAGE!! I still feel bad about SindyDix losing her camera at our get together and it was MY idea for them to move right in the middle of their meal. Sebastian and Smoke, huh? Kinda clashy colors - you needed a neutral in between --- but not the Majestic Amethyst - wooo, that wouldn't have worked either. Just kidding - great photos.

Why wont any aftermarket shops make a 3 bar grill for this car!?!?!?!?!?!

i am not handy when it come to body work, but if I can just call and use a Mastercard...................... that's my kind of modin!

We had a great visit with Deb and had a great time in Denver. What a beautiful place! The Rockies can't be described in words and pictures don't do it justice. Simply amazing. Deb's Smoke look's great. Lot's of mods and all are a perfect fit. I'm still jealous of her CGS intake. Thak you Deb for taking some time to spend with us. The Country Buffet was a perfect choice. I posted a few pics in the Pictures and Media page, and will post more on the photobucket website soon.

Mike, I had a handfull of leaves I had removed from my car just before that pic was taken Leaves were plastered all over the car from the storm.

Unfortunalty I did end up with some very minor hail damage on the hood. You have to look pretty close to see it, but it's there . Oh well it was bound to happen some time.
