2009 Mooneye's Summer BBQ & Open House

This is the annual summer BBQ held at the world famous Moon Industries factory and showroom. This is a BIG gathering of the serious old school crowd who bring out some of the trickest Hot Rods and Kustoms around. It is a Rock-a-Billy atmosphere and is like a time warp to the 50's. Moon also opens up their garage and drags out lots of old vintage parts that they have laying around. Sorry for the short notice, I just found out. I have a ton of things to do this Saturday, but a walk through may be possible for me to pull off.

Any interest?

BTW: Dean Moon is an HHR owner.

I usually go with my hotrod, but this year I had another event and missed it. talked to my friends that went and they thought it was great.

If we want to do a Mooneyes tour on our own as a club, I can set that up as Chico that runs the USA operations and the owner Shiggy and I have known each other since the Moon family sold the business.

I have done this before for other clubs and we would get a grand tour of the facility.

It would be a Saturday event. We can also add a lunch stop in the area after the tour.

Mitzkitty, don't let the Tattoos, ratrods, etc. get to ya. The group is pretty cool.

I have to work this Saturday, unless they're giving away a set of those speedmaster wheels in 5-110 bolt pattern

This sounds cool, Bob.
We have a break between g2g's after San Diego and CfaC in late September and/or Tom's Farms in November. We can't go more then a few weeks without seeing each other!

I'm still a no for CfaC & if I have to play hooky from class, it will be for Tom's.
But am pretty free most of August!

Let's see what the group thinks?

Someday I'm going to make it here...

Purchased a lot over the years from Mooneyes Calif. I just love the old Rock-A-Billy music and the ol' 1950's Rat Fink era of hot rods... I see this bar-b-que on their website and in their catalogs I get every year.

Enjoy... wish I could join ya!
