Also check in Santa Maria.. which is about 50 miles from Solvang..
theres also a Casino near by... but theres lots of winieries off 154 hwy.
Firestone.. (not the tires) Fiesta Parker... ( daniel boone) from the movie Sideways... was film in the Central Coast... and of course you can visit
Michael Jackson never never ranch in Santa Ynez, a good motorcycle hangout is Los Alamos off 101, (which has like a old western type of building in the town)... Pismo Beach is another good place to visit..
and of course beautiful Avila Beach...

I was looking at hotels in Buellton last night and found that there is a Motel 6 there that is around $70 a night. That is a lot cheaper than any of the Solvang hotels. I know it is still a Motel 6, but you always know what to expect there.
