No Bob's for me this time. Just found out I have a slot car race at noon. Will have to leave before 11 to get there in time. I have to get a copy of the book Gurney is signing for a friend from Detroit, so I will be there, but I miss a lot of racing so I realy don't want to miss this chance.

I'm only in town for two days and gotta fit in all I can. The wife will be gone Friday and Saturday for a family thing so I don't have to worry about not being home.

Sorry, but a bad day racing is.... well you get the idea.

For those that will be there. I'd say look for the old guy with Grey hair, but that will be many. Call me at: 562-481-4177. I'll have my cell phone with me. I'll try and get there a little after 8AM

We had a nice time over at Autobooks in Burbank Saturday morning. Here is a shot of the HHR line up. We did pose for a group shot from a passer by but after several moments of waiting for a "click" we gave up. This is the best I can do. It was an honor to meet Dan Gurney also.

Thanks to Bud/1hothhr, Ivtech, Hotrodbob for the Morning

It was good to see Bob, Bud and Tim Saturday morning and meeting Dan Gurney. Tim's 2-tone looks great in pictures but even better in person. Later, I had lunch at BOB's Big Boy and there was another red panel HHR in the parking lot with red fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror and pinstripped designs on the hood and tailgate.

I know I'm a newb to car stuff, but can I just ask who Dan Gurney is? We order seedlings from a Gurney's catalog, but somehow I don't think they are related!!!

Dan is a famous American race driver & car builder. Won countless races in the USA and Europe. Built some amazing hi-tech race cars and engines.
