well, it sounds like many people still want to push this through and make it happen, which is wonderful IMO. as soon as i go back to work i will put in for the Friday night before this off, since i now have to work it (dumb schedule change...), and it is early enough it shouldn't be a problem getting it off. so if all works out right, i will for sure be there to lead this cruise. now that i see this will still be going on as planned, my fiancee and I will find time to go out and do our practice run to log the route in my laptop, complete with estimated times and such. once that is done, i will work on making up the map to post for everyone.

 

Hey Chris,

If possible when you are in the Solvang area planning our route would it be possible to keep an eye out on the way as far as eateries? Anything (Deli, Pizza, Mexican, etc.) that looks affordable but mainly has a "HUGE" parking area for "ALL" of us to gather, kind of like Tom's. Personally I know alot will split up when shopping but would be kind of nice to keep us together as much as possible such as when Cruising and Lunchtime, just a thought!

 

i can keep an eye out. most large parking lots i know of are used by the businesses for their employees to park and such. i'm rather familiar with Solvang, but i will look a little more and see if there isn't something. there are many good eateries in the town, and it is a great place to walk around, even if you're not planning to spend money, there is a lot of cool stuff and places to check out. parking will definitely be harder to figure out than food.

 

Hey Kevin!

Me and Delaney are going to head down on Thursday. I have the whole week off work and we are going to make a mini vacation out of it. We are still waiting to figure out if we are staying at the timeshare in Solvang or at the hotel in Buelton.

 

For some of us that may cruise up from So Cal, is there going to be a main meeting place in Solvang, where people are going meet and greet during the day?

 

The answer to that is in the first post. I was wondering if we were going to cruise up together in a group?

 

I am planning on going up on Friday and making a whole weekend of it.

Okay where are you guys staying at? Have been looking on line and found 1 hotel in Los Alamo 12 miles away. Getting ready to book it for Fri. to Sunday! Yes we will be going up Friday as well!
