The grille was there Don, I have pics on my camera but can't get them off until I get to work tomorrow. The grill is still being designed and needs some more development. We saw the first draft on Saturday and you can see where it is headed and I think they will be nice when completed.

We missed you both Angie and Don, but it was a grooling day and my B-hind is still kicked today!

Thanks, Tim!
I see you were missing the sparkle of a Summit White, but had more then enough black beauty's around to make sure the HHR's were covered!

Looking forward to seeing the pix!

Yep, we had a great time. But it sure was HOT! I don't get to hang out with ya'll all that much but it was nice talking to all of you. And thanks to everyone for loaning me cleaning supplies to get all those early morning Bakersfield bugs off the car!

As for the grill - As said above, it is still the first stage and is heading in the right direction but still has a ways to go. The guy who is doing the actual work did a great job considering that all he had to work with was just a grill. He didn't have a car to test fit things on. Basically, the grill was too small and not shaped exactly right, but the horizontal bars are pretty close to what I want.

This is the only picture I got. I know some others took pictures while we were working on it. Like I said, too small but a good first start. I made a lot of changes and some others spoke up on things that were needed too. I was glad to get the extra input.

WOW, Many thanks for those that were able to attend. We missed the ones that could not make it. Barbara and I had such a GREAT time. We got to meet some new HHR folks and once again Harvey got to visit with some of his STOCK, MILD AND WILD FRIENDS. If the good LORDS willing and the creek don't rise next year DejeVous Rendevous will be a Solvang g2g. Lotz of cruisen. Once again I'd like to thank ya all.
Songman, GREAT JOB on the grill, I can't wait to see the finished product. Also with the good LORD'S help I will have some pics to post.

See ya down the road

as for that grill, Songman, that is going to look PHENOMINAL once completed! i really like what you're after there! IMO not the look for an SS, but if i owned an LS or LT, i'd be all over it in a heartbeat!
