We had Kenwood for years in our cars, and never had a problem. But I thought when we bought the Alpine, it was an upgrade. I know nothing, however... I guess every brand name has its upper and lower lines and you need to really watch it by features you want AND reviews of each specific model number. That's the way we buy our computer equipment, piece by piece, checking reviews and reliability, dealer, warantees, return policies, ya gotta put it all together and decide.

That's why I will never understand people who say, "I'm a CHEVY man" -- I understand brand loyalties, but I am a research & shop around type.

I spent a long while trying to reconstruct a map showing where to meet up...other than telling you it's the THIRD DRIVEWAY....

and then I thought about checking the Google Maps Satellite view....

DUH!!!

So take your choice -- simple or REAL!

I think Kenwood is great. But if you are looking for sound alone, the combo DVD/CD player will not give you the same sound quality as going just for sound. You have to compromise, and I don't care what your guy says, cause he just wants to sell you the DVD, I am sure it will be great, but if you go for the combo, you will lose a little to the music side. You will probably never know the differnce though, so if you need DVD, rock on!! It will all sound good anyway if you spend the $$. Todd (Uma)

There use to be a Kenwood Outlet in Santa Fe Springs. I do not know if it still there.

Uma, I love sound, and I love keeping my niece quiet while driving with sponge bob. So, it most definitely is a compromise.

I hear you there!!! Then the DVD is well worth it. If you are hauling young kids..that is no compromise! You are on top of the situation, LOL. DVD to keep them entertained is what it is all about! And I am sure the sound will be great too! Todd (Uma)

Did anyone want to caravan out of OC to Tom's Farm? We could meet up and make a scene on the 91 out to the 15. Traffic is usually pretty heavy coming out of OC on Saturdays. Anyone?

We are going out there early - plan to be there to scout and save spots, and maybe even have a little brekkie...

Sindy, are we lunching at Senor Tom's?? Is that where the Irish Nacho's are?
