First So.Cal. Event of 2008, Be a Derelict!
The most fun you can have with your HHR is driving and socializing with others.
Add food to the equation and now we have something that will benefit both mind and body
....... That is as long as your New Years resolution is not to cut calories.
So, to that end, the always open minded, car savvy So.Cal. HHR group has proposed the first officially Unofficial run of 2008.
It will be a breakfast cruise to one of the hottest spots in all of Huntington Beach.
No need for a wet suit or surf board. We're not shootin the pier or catchin a wave dudes and dudettes. We're gonna see the largest Saturday morning car event in the south bay area.
Get up early, dress warm and most of all shine up your HHR cause we are all going to become "Derelicts", Donut Derelicts that is. I can taste the fruit filling in my donut allready!!!!

Some have said that we can meet on January 12. However, what Saturday is better for the group as a whole?
We gotta get there early! 6:AM! No sleepy heads allowed. It's a New Year and time to get a start of the fun to come..

NEWS FLASH
Tim has just set up a G2G at the famous Boyd Cottington Hotrod Shop right after we down some donuts...... This is gonna be a GREAT morning of fun. 6:AM-to about 8:AM at the beach and over to Coddington's from 9:AM-Noon..... NOON? I'm hungrey for lunch allready!!!!
We can also make it an economy run. We will all fill our tanks.... In this case the HHR.... Push the reset on the Average MPG and see what we all can get. We will fill up again once we get off the freeway at Coddingtons to check to see how our dash reads too.

SoCal HHRs January G2G
Yes it's true. I went up to Boyds shop yesterday, it was the December open house. I went to see if it would be Ok for SoCal HHRs to come next month as a group. I spoke with Jo Coddington who said they would love to have us come. She was very nice and I think we will have a great time. Todd, Rick and I went last september and I thought we had a pretty good day.
Come and join us on January 12th 2008 at Boyd Coddington's open house
You will get to walk through his shop and see many of the projects featured in the TV series American Hot Rod in past and future shows. Many of the crew are on hand to meet with if you are a fan of the show.
There is also a Show and Shine held at these open houses so have your ride shined up and ready for Boyd to see. If we flood them with HHRs we should have a great chance of having a winner. Just before noon they have a drawing for some various Boyd items including a $500 coupon towards a set of Boyd wheels.
So let's make this our biggest g2g so far. Our goal should be 20 cars so lets promote the heck out of this!
