Boy will be here for my dissertation defense and graduation that week/weekend -- not sure what other plans we have. I'm up for something as well.

I know of a very good bar-b-que place in Anahiem, Called Scotties Smokehouse.

Tentatively...I'm in. It's a 4 day weekend for me, but work considers that lost time ( go figure) so they'll probably make us work at least Saturday

I'm in too I've got a six day weekend,(out 5/25 back on 6/1) but any way the smoke house or the beach either way is good with me.

I'm bad,Scottie's Smokehouse is in the city if Orange.It's a very casual place,if we decide to go here.I need to let Scott know ahead of time, roughly how many of us are going.The reason why i'm suggesting this place, because the beach will be very crowded.

Well after reviewing the menu at Scotties I must say I am in.:lol:

We will possibly be on a camping trip depending on the weather. If we don't go camping, then we'll most likely go BBQing with the So Cal HHRs.

Still not sure what we are doing, but count this SoCal gal and her Southern Boy in!

Yup, Anna and I have not made any of the events since Tom's Farm.

At this point, though, it looks like we will be heading out on a camping trip.

You never know, though. The last time we tried to go out we had to cancel due to high winds in the desert.

I am tempted, and it is the first weekend after Faire is over, so I am open again.
On the other hand, I am not sure I can get Ruby Presentable by then, but I will try.
All the mud at faire this last weekend has given her a 2-tone paint job!

OK, Were set for May 28th at 1:00pm at Scottie's Smokehouse.We have blocked off parking for our HHR's too:twothumbs:. Do we want to meet somewhere and cruise together or just meet there?. We could meet at the Wal-mart in Anaheim since everybody knows it from other g2g's, and cruise over from there.

yes, next year will be the 50th anniversary of the Southern Faire. There is still a Northern faire as well. Lots(although not as many) little faires about. I have done one or two.

Are we having lunch with little fairies at the smokehouse, what kinda smoke is this anyway. I mean I like little people butt I draw the line at fairies even I have some sense of reality from time to time. Hey does Scott's offer 'short' ribs. Any way That Wall mart meet up/cruise sounds doable to me. Hey after Scott's could we cruise to Fast Eddie's Speed shop, never been and quite close isn't.

Sorry for that middle of the night post, haven,t had a solid 8 hours sleep in the last couple weeks, what with my dad passing and the arthritis in the spine plus working through it all. I don,t have any family in SoCal, so going through this alone shows in all kind of interesting manifestations, my humor is just one way of dealing, better than the drug habit I survived in Michigan in the 70's and 80's I guess. I really need those six days off next weekend, and just hanging with my HHR family will be good too.

So does anybody want to meet up at Wal-Mart (12:15-12:30) before Scotties.If not we'll see you at Scottie's at 1:00pm. It takes about 15-20 mins from there. Sorry Johnny, Fast Eddies will be closed.

There's a chance I may make this. It's all about the dollar. If I can meet my build schedule ( ie build/ship in 4 days what normally takes 5-6) I may be up for it and a 4 day weekend on top of that.

I'll be monitoring this thread.
