HHR SS in San Diego area?
The Idea was to see if you like the car in general?! If you do, then go forward with the SS, as long as don't think that you are buying a race car, cause it ain't! It is sporty, looks awesome, but it is not going to blow the doors off a corvette. Lots of people buy the SS thinking that is it some kind of race car or something. It is fast, and sweet looking, Todd (Uma)
I'm in San Diego, around the Mission Valley area. Although it's my car, my husband may accomodate you and bring you for a ride since it's a 5 spd (as I'm assuming you're a guy and I'm not keen on the idea of taking a strange guy for a ride by myself for obvious reasons). Let me know if you're interested and I'll ask him what day would work best for him. Maybe even tonight if you have the time since he goes to a weekly car meet on Tuesdays and can just bring my car instead of his.
Let me know!

no idea what you're talking about, Todd, this thing is a racecar!
nah, they really aren't, but they definitely are no slouches. take it from me, with 6 months, over 6600 miles, and part of that being a 1400 mile trip to Tucson and back, as long as you like the HHR in general as far as looks and overall feature offerings, you will LOVE the SS. IMO the seats are more comfortable, much more power, surprisingly fast for your money, handle incredibly well, and so long as you aren't racing around everywhere you go, you'll get pretty darn good gas mileage too.
Awesome, I would really appreciate it! I wouldn't be able to make it to the meet as I work evenings from 4-12:30. Maybe sometime during the day or the weekend. I just saw an orange 1 today for the first time in SD over by Costco on Market. I'm definitely looking forward to getting a ride in 1, then all I have to do is find an auto somewhere to buy! lol
Well, I wouldn't say the times will be too accurate for what this car can do since the last time I raced was the first time I ever raced at a track (of sorts). If you don't know, it's just an 1/8 mile track set up in the parking lot, so it's nothing like a real track even though they do prep it to the best of their ability. The best time me or my husband (who's made hundreds of passes there in his car) could get on stock tires was a 10.4 but got a lot of tire spin which affects the ET.
