How about Solvang in August?

It's in Solvang, and they do it every year. Catzcradle is taking his Magnum and I am tossing around taking the HHR vs riding up with him. But, ya know, we could do it next year too - sounds like fun, $35 I think, $20 for second car. (This is only the 4th year of it.)

Any interest?

You have to remember that makes 3 weekends in a row!! Meguiar's and Deja Vous, come before that weekend. But I'm game.

Will be consulting the fan club. After going there is '06 for my first g2g thought it would be a good place to have another.

I have to miss DejaVu, and this falls the day after I finish school, AND it is just before my b-day...so, thinking about it

(Considering I start up school again ON my b-day in September, I'll need something fun to remember!)

That really is a pretty drive up there!

Looks like a awesome venue if enough of us can go. I might consider it, but I have to see if that conflicts with month end work schedule. That's a 4 hr drive oneway for me...Those that went previously (Sindy, Charles), did any body stay in a hotel up there the night before?

Besides the hotel question, what time is it on Saturday? Didn't see anything on the site. I do have class until 8 pm on the 22nd and if it is way early on the 23rd., don't think I can make it...that and it might be too expensive for me to do I think (gas, reg, hotel + single = po')

@ngelita...

I have trouble pulling off the long hauls. I will keep it in mind though.

It's a good option, Charles, but we opted for the Best Western Pea Soup Andersen's, 51 E Hwy 246, also in Buellton. Through Travelocity, the room was 116.10 minus taxes and fees, and I love the restaurant there. You can cancel right up to the 22nd. Both hotels are adjacent each other, I think.

I know it's pricey for those on a budget, but I noticed that it was only an additional 10$/person to add people to this room. So you could sleep 4 in a room for only $20 more.

Or, bring sleeping bags, & sleep a whole lot of people per room. It's only a night - could be a "bonding" experience - or a big backache! Y'all would have to behave, of course!!!! :

Same here for the long hauls plus the expense. Unfortunately, I will be only attending g2g's that are close. I just cant swing it.

On that note, I willingly offer to help set up more frequent local meets. BBQ's, parks, lake jaunts, etc. Im very much up for that after I heal up.
