It's looking like we will have to have a wiper removal clinic!

I will help out with the wiper removal. I was going to stop by Mcfadden-Dale hardware to look for bolts. They are a hard core store with lots of great raw materials. They have a great selection of nuts and bolts in every possible material too. Stainless steel would probably be the best to use and I would expect it to be under a buck too. I will let you know.
