Will be looking forward to the almond pastry Jonny. We need to make your nickname...the bakerman, or something. We do love your goodies. Todd (uma)

Thanks, Cheri!
I successfully defended my dissertation today and officially have my PhD -- have some revisions to make but can finally start to have a life again! yippee!

I think I will start by washing my car ...

I bet you feel the weight of the world is offa you already, Angie.

We had been working on our backyard for the last 2 months, and I had a daily schedule of preps for this huge party we had - and now we are kind of other-worldly, no real purpose, just all this free time...it's like PTSS, only in a good way.

I imagine you will feel that way too, except now you have a wedding...for you the roller coaster isn't finished.

I'm ready to have a bunch of HHR people over for BBQ. Late August?

Thanks everyone for the good wishes! ALL of you played an important role on this journey -- for reals. I appreciated that events were occasionally rescheduled so I could attend or you were cool if I was writing or doing readings in the car. You all kept me sane and grounded and will acknowledge that in my dissertation too!

Oh my goodness you have NO idea how nice it feels to have a bit of a respite right now. For all intents, it is DONE and revisions are just that, revisions. I have the signatures, so they can't take it back!

Most of the wedding' stuff is kind of planned, but yeah, still have A LOT to do since I am 3000 miles away!

Mid-Late August sounds GREAT for a bbq and I'd be happy to help-I have time now! I'll be gone Labor Day weekend (bday and going to Rough River, KY to do *nothin'*!).

Woohoo! Car is washed so bring on the Summer and sending off my forms this week!
