Petersen Museum Tour????

Each year I organize a tour of the Petersen Auto museum for two other clubs. After that we hit a famouse burger or hotdog place. Any interest?

If we can garrantee 20 cars we will get free parking and reduced entry fee.

The time frame would be late November/early December/early January

We can also work on an Irwindale speedway night from March to November for the roundy round events or a drag day on a thursday night.,

Friday night poker ralleys? Gymkanas? Economy runs? There are a multitude of things we can do, but what is the interest level here. I might even get us a drag day to see what all these performance parts we add really work.

So what do ya think? There is more to parking cars and spreading out in a lawn chair. Tail gate parties......Swap meets.............Pic Nics.....FUN!

It sounds like YOU want to be the event manager for the State. Becareful you don't step on some of the events others ALREADY have going.

See ya down the road

Don't want to step on toes, just don't see any HHR events only.. Heck there is an event some place every weekend, but not all for the HHR croud.

I might be interested in the November, December, January "thing". I do Californicate rather regularly.

Tell me a little about the Petersen Museum.

We gather together at a set spot and drive in as a group. This gets us FREE parking. We then pick one rep and they collect the money for the tickets and it works out to about $2. off per person..

From there it's on to Pinks or Carney's hotdog stands depends on who is less busy. Last year we ended up at Bob's Big Boys at the Studios.

If we start earily enough, breakfast is free at the auto book store in Burbank

The Petersen Museum is 3 floors of great cars. History of the cars, some motorcycles thrown in and great stuff to see. Not as big as the Ford Museum, but interesting none the less. A good walk through is about 2 - 2 1/2 hours.

Here is their site: http://www.petersen.org/

We went last year and it is a lot of fun and very entertaining. The gift shop is wonderful...question, do they rotate cars in and out, so you can see something new from year to year?
