I agree with the above ( no willing to drive to the dealer then not have tickets -- the rules were defined after we signed up.
Like I said before, his show, his rules.

You know for the work that goes in to setting something like this up and then have people bad mouth it (Just stinks) The damn rules were set up at the very first and they have not changed. If you think I'm making anything out of this you are sooooooooooo wrong. At this time the only thing I'm getting is a pain in the b hind. I would highly suggest that if you don't want to come then stay the hell home and quite bad mouthing the event. If you wan to talk to me personelly then please feel free to give me a call.
I drive 450 miles and you can't drive the short distance you have to drive, well you know what I'm thinking.
See ya down the road

Well that seals the deal for me.
Bud, you were NOT clear as to why we HAD to drive to burbank 1st. I totally understand as Ive posted more than once about the vendors want us at all the stops and that is why it was set up that way. I didnt go last year, I didnt have the car then. YOU did not convey that bit of info until well afterwards.(2nd page, 12th post ,1 month and 3 days after the initial post) I never bad mouthed you or the damn event. Yes you drive a long way, maybe the longest... what does that have to do with anything. Did you stop and think there might be other factors involved other than the driving distance?

I have set up probably 50 runs in my time. Music, food, prizes etc etc. I am fully aware of what goes into doing these things. I made certain ALL the details were spelled out before the 1st person committed to the event. So I will take your advice and stay the hell home........Yous all have a wonderful time.

My guess is that none of this is going to matter and we're all going to be there and have a great time at the track! Let's just assume that we're going to have a great Saturday afternoon and- if we want to fight- I'll represent Hendricks Motorsports*
*shameless plug for a team on a different circuit

I would guess that none of this is going to matter either, well except the fact that a couple of our own (SoCalHHrs) could be left out, and wouldn't show up even if they are invited now. No problem at all, Bud, I love you to death, you are the HHR man. It just seems that we are selling out to the sponsers, when what we really want is a bunch of HHRs parked outside of Irwindale Speedway, looking good, and sharing stories. I realize that we want all to go to each stop, but if they can't make it, can they pay there own way in, and at least park with us at Irwindale? I don't see the problem, they win no raffle prizes etc. Just me, and I speak for only me. Todd (Uma)

Couple of things here folks: No one was bad mouthing anything -- just observing the rule change and control issues with the tickets.

2nd, I humbly suggest the organizer develope some social skills and learn to discuss issues rationally rather that go off as in the above.

The good news for others is that there are more tickets available and 1 less car on the track as I will take the Organizer's suggestion and stay away.

Hope all who do attend have a great time.

Personally, I can't wait for this event. I had a great time last year and I will do so again this year. Each of the stops had something to offer and the culmination of showing off the HHRs to the race crowd was the perfect way to end the evening.

Bud, one of my in-laws is fresh into the HHR scene and will be joining us this year. Tickets or not, he'll still be there. I'd probably end up giving him my ticket for the track anyway if we run out.

See ya there!

Songman-
If you drive down in the morning (as opposed to the night before), let me know. I'll be going right through Bakersfield on the way down.
