Ok guys and Gals... The Roadkings show is Sunday June 8th accross the street from NBC on Bob Hope Drive in Johnny Carson Park (I fell like a name dropper)

The show is FREE-FREE-FREE-FREE!!!!!! No Registration cost -No spectator charge . So even if ya wanna just come by and see the 700+ cars that show up, please do. If a group comes in together, then they can park together.

I'll be there working the show... I'm the MC and DJ....If ya make it, please find me and say "HI".

Hi Hotrodbob

Having been a club member of another make (Corvette) for over twenty years I was wondering if the HHR members great each other with a hand wave or something.

Call it left over from the 60's and 70's but when the Vette owners stopped waving as they passed another Vette it signaled that the "real Route 66" Corvette "love affair" was more or less over. Hey, try and get a BMW owner to wave....I own several but that is about to change.

If you have e-mail adresses of club officers or members in the south please advise. Also is there any national organization for the HHR clubs?

Thanks

I wave at other HHRs. I rember in the '60s Corvette owner waving at each other but when I got mine in the mid-'90s it was rare for someone to wave back.

I remember those days. The hotrodders still do, Old brit roadster guys too, but the Vet guys just don't get it. It's not bought for the performance, its and ego investment now. I had an '85 and it was not like that then either.

Yes there is a few clubs, but the local club does not have officers I don't think.

Here is the local site:

Here is the National site:

Heh heh, I try to give a thumbs up or wave, and most people are oblivious or on the phone! Besides, if I'm not driving, it's impossible with the tinted glass and my visor. So far, not much luck.

I came home to a two tone dust bunny, so I have some work to do before the show.
