As Tim said it was a great day! The weather could not be better, we had shade, open pubs, and good food. Awesome, Bud had wonderful stories of his growing up locally, and everyone seemed to know him! Kris did her first show and looked good doing so. Bud got a new mod that really brings his car together, old school air-conditioning! Todd (Uma)
Pics from today!
Meet up with Bud in Rialto

Morning has broken and we (Bud, Kris and I) scramble to do the final wipe downs,
but suprisingly Todd is confident in his prep of Uma and enjoys the morning air and sunshine.

With our SoCal HHRs sign clearly displayed we settled in for the show.

Bud had his new Air Cooler installed for the show. It looks great
and it matches his car perfectly.:thumb:

We were surrounded by Awesome cars and some even had mufflers!
The open header cruise was supposed to be for 1 hour but I think it
went for the whole show. My ears are still ringing!

This was early, it did fill up nicely by noon.

After a quick trip to a local watering hole we returned to the cars
only to find out that the judges had selected Todd's Uma for an
award!:thumb:

But, we still had several hours of open headers, the smell of racing
gas being consumed and meeting lots of nice people. We are
conviced we each sold at least one HHR today to people who
came to the show. We even met a few HHR owners and handed out
several cards too.
And then there was this guy! He was a crowd pleaser and the
heat was incredible coming off of this engine. How much is gas?

Well, finally award time came and the winners were all gathered
together. As the awards were handed out each car rolled up
to the stage and got thier picture taken. The best part for the
Chevy guys in the crowd was the Mustang that wouldn't start and
had to be pushed across the street! It looked like classic Ford
vapor lock to me. Very enjoyable too!

Then it was Todd's turn. No one deserved it more than Todd.
He has without question the cleanest HHR that I have ever
seen. To be picked as one of the top 20 cars at this show
is an honor and a tribute to Todd's work.

We really did miss all of you but we have next weeknd to
look forward to!
See you soon
