When are we getting that 'stimulus' check?!

 

Working on my taxes today. Is the stimulus check from ths years or last years taxes?
Depending on how much I have to pay there is Castle Air in May with Nor Cal.

 

The reason I'm starting to wonder is because my MIL in Arizona has been having some health problems since January. Yesterday's test calls for another test in a week or 2, which hopefully will call for some treatments, but she's 76, and I can hear the fear in her all too cheerful voice. I may need to leave...

 

My parents aged 74 and 81, who I constantly worry about their health. So as someone in a simular situtation, I would say Family always comes first. You do what you need to do

 

For the taxes paid in 2007. Chris and I and my parents received letters already from the IRS stating the stimulus checks will start going out in May.

 

Mitzkity, my parents passed way TOO young (65 & 70) and the one thing I remember my dad always saying, familia primero--family first.

You are kind enough to want to host us, so you can make the decision to reschedule too!

Now, I was just told I *had* to attend a conference in Monterey beginning of May, so please not that weekend! Road trip for Blackie!

I saw in the Times this morning that you will get it faster if you had direct deposit for any refunds and/or it will be based on the last 2 digits of your social--so mine is in the 20's, so it will be a wee bit longer getting to me. But yes, May at the earliest.

I'm still trying to figure out how much we get??!! But whatever (sort of) free $!

In order to get the "stimulus" check, you need to fill out calendar year 2007 taxes. This means fill out your tax forms and turn them in by the due date of April 15, 2008 to recieve the check. Also means irs will be creating/making a database and giving info to the treasury department. I hope no info or laptops gets taken/stolen like the past government mishaps
