Yep, me too!

Had a really nice time seeing all the HHR's and talking with some of you as well.
I would like to throw this out there as well. Granted, it has been mentioned that we want to keep this informal as to avoid the politics. I belong to Street Rods Forever and Cal Rods as well. I have a 55 F100 and a 46 Ford that are rodded out and have seen the clubs get HUGE and have a lot of problems.

Im sure all of us want to avoid all this. However, what I feel we need to do is set a time to meet close to the event. Then after we all gather, arrive together. Someone could go early and get spots all together as well. If someone didnt want to meet they have the option not to.

The "fogbank cruise" was a blast with the exception that we were all spread out
( I realize it might have been really difficult to park together at that venue ).

I love cars and the culture that goes with them. I look forward to participating in as many SoCal HHR events as I can.

I tell you it felt like 'fog-bank-cruise' this morning!

One of the joy's of my car is driving it--so if you folks were able to make it to the OC at 6 am, I can make it somewhere else at that time if need be!

I like informal too!

I agree with Donnie. Our "informal" is really too informal. It would have been nice to see all the HHR's together, like the SSR's at the Donut place.

when talking with the guys at the donut store, the idea of nothing being organized, as parking together, is one of the nice things about the saturday donut get together. just a fun time with car people, and eat donuts!!

We will get there Lou, I think the fact that you couldn't see more than 20 feet was part of our problem at the donut shop. We should go back in the summer when the weather is nice and do it right.

I will talk to the Chevy dealer and see how serious he is.

Also I like the Angelos idea from Todd. I don't know if they still do the roller skating car hops or not? We could go for lunch (sleep in) and then cruise over to Super Autobacs on Beach. It is geared to the tuners of OC but we could get their attention. They have some good prices on detailing products and lots of accessories.

I am all for cruising outside of the OC too. I am trying to hit at least 1 car show a month this year for my boss (it is a company car after all) and even plan on hitting the San Diego area since we have a branch down there too.

I will let you all know.

Thanks TK for the thoughts. I am going to be very interested in the number of people that show up. What would be SoCal HHR's thinking of coming north to the Solvang area again. It seemed like there were some people from all areas both south and north. If the people from the North and South can't drive that distance for a BIG G2G then I guess I'll give it up.

See ya down the road

Sure it was foggy Tim, but heck, I would do it again, NO PROBLEM. Even if I were able to see to the donut shop itself, we were all spread out. Thats my point. There simply was no parking close to each other.

We will get there Lou
Alright Tim, I have faith in you brother! You are THE MAN!

I think Solvang is a perfect middle spot for the No cal and the So cal. It is beautiful, went up there for Camaro Nationals for years(that is when I owned them LOL) It was great, can be a one day drive, or only a one night stay, either way. Love the idea, Todd (Uma)
