Great Day
Wow what a great day for a our 5th Annual Car Show.Weather was nice and the people were great.A big thank you for everybody that had a part on putting this on,and for all the donations for the raffle.Daryl (GRUMPEE) and Mike (PAPA SMURF) you both deserved the special awards you were given today.Thank you for all the new people who came to the show today. And thank you for Patrick of Stroupe Designs for the pinstriping. Can't wait for next year.
No you weren't the only one - Dummy me was looking at the full set (doh!)while Tim was calling out the ticket numbers. Luckily Cheri (Miztkity) and Todd (Uma) saw the error of my ways - " Daryl how are you supposed to win unless you put the tickets in the jar". I chalk it up to public education or I skipped that class?!?
I had a good time though Hee Hee. Thanks to the LA/OC Crew for a great event

Wow, what a great time my wife and I had at this show. A big thanks for all those who put in the many hours to make this happen. And a big thanks to all the vendors that supplied the many prizes. I did win a T-shirt but my wife tells me I can't wear it around the grandkids.......
here are some pics I took today: https://picasaweb.google.com/budster...eat=directlink once there click on slideshow and 'F11' for full screen.

But you were so right, and someone WAS watching over us! It was sooooo nice to see everyone (once we all stopped being freezing to death)!
The freebies this year were great, and we all are grateful to Chevy for theirs, since they don't even sell the car any more. I heard several remarks about how many cars we must have sold for them over the years - at Tom's, and at other venues... and you KNOW it's true.
Thank you to Kris & Todd & Tim & Marilyn for tireless support (sorry to who I left out) and giving up a lot of shmooze time yesterday to run the shindig. Kris, yo kid ain't bad either; he's a NICE guy!
Thank you to those who went out and got those donations for our incredible RAFFLE, for those who made items, and for those who brought in their own donations. There were even those who sent items in because they themselves couldn't make it. Tom's Farm November is an HHR institution!
Yesterday I was overwhelmed with a sense of family, as old faces come back year after year, and the hugs are so real!
The trophies were SO deserved, and the 2 winners of Best Car - the prettiest SBO's I've ever seen!!
Did the owner of the ragtop even sign in? I didn't see it on the sheet - help needed here.
AND, who missed the stealthy arrival of Sindy Dix? I'll never tell....

I think we all look forward to Toms Farm even if we are exhausted at the end of the day. The weather was good and the HHR group are fine people. Thank you Kris, Todd, Tracy, Julie for the ........!
