Oh this is shaping up already!! Aside from all these good people who have RSVP'd here, I have 8 more who wrote me directly. This is going to be a real shindig. One person is even bringing a friend with an HHR. That's really great.

Bud, it will be so good to see you and Harvey, catch up on old times! Folks will remember you if they've been there before - here's Harvey -
That photo came from our big day at Irwindale Speedway and Autobooks/Aerobooks. I see you in the background, Bud.

And look - there's Rick, (admiring Harvey) whose son's basketball skills plumb stole him away from us...Hi Rick!

And here he is.
You dont hear from this guy but a couple times a year, one of which - a tradition it seems is to build a badass PC system to donate. Very cool of you man, this is a really nicely spec'd machine.

*** Mike what make is that card reader - does it power from a tiny connector on the MB and do you have drivers for it?- Don

The card reader is just a generic brand from China. It has a 10 pin connector (only 9 used, 10th is blank) that hooks up to one of the USB headers directly on the motherboard. No drivers required as Windows installs its own drivers. In Windows Explorer each slot has its own drive letter. Depending on Motherboard it may not even show unless a card is installed. The reader also has a USB port built in. You also need to set up the reader in the System BIOS during boot up. There are many types of readers out there, you need to read compatibility on the box it comes in. I came across a couple that would not work with Vista or Windows 7.

I have a PC that I threw together with an ASUS MB and a reader exactly as you describe. This one has XP spIII on it and doesnt recognize it. Didnt get any software I need to look at it closer to see what make it is etc. Thanks
