Excellent, hopefully I don't regret it. I got a brand new f23 from df kit car for $500. Done having trans issues. I found a post from OshawaHHRss on cobaltss.net with a more in depth parts he used. My swap should share most of the things, I'm just unsure about the shifter at this point.

Yes, obviously enough. F35 -> F23 is much less trouble. But Osh has some experience with the F23 so if I were you I'd glean what I could. You can search for his other posts and comments. I've read a bunch at an unmentionable social media site on that swap, so some googling should pay off. Some of the vendors even cover it I think. You could also try this before a mod deletes it: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-1...3-swap-325894/

Why would we delete it? It’s our sister forum.

I did the F40 swap last summer. A question I've had that would be helpful here: Is there any way to recalibrate the ODOMETER? I didn't realize that recalibrating the speedometer didn't also cover the odometer. Any way to accomplish this?

You need a Tech2 or similar and the know-how to do it. Basically lie about the tires on the placard. Whoever did the speedo should know how to do the Odo.

I had ZZP do the speedo, they don't do odometer. Gave me a name to try, but they didn't do it either. Any specific suggestions? I'm in the Chicagoland area.

Most GM dealers don’t have the personnel with skills anymore some don’t even have the Tech II scanner anymore

GM does not use Tech2 anymore, they have changed to a different computer (GDS2). However, I have not heard of a GM technician that knew how to use one.
I'm not sure how adjusting the speedo doesn't adjust the odo. As far as I can figger they are both based on tire circumference and output shaft speed sensor.
How do you know the odo is not correct?

The speedometer is within a MPH of GPS speed. The odometer reads about 1 mile per 5 miles driven - not even close!

Then my guess is they used some "trick" to make the speedo work.
I may be totally wrong but I think the only adjustment in the computers is the tire placard. I know that you can adjust that when you use different size tires than came from the factory. When I used 215 55 instead of 215 50 the speedo was off by about 3 MPH and the odo about the same percent. I guess, I'm saying "you gotta find someone that knows how to program OBD2 computers"; no one here I know of.

They must have adjusted the odo to make the speedo correct. That seems illegal to me.

Here is how they work:
