2010 SS lagging down at full throttle start

Just went to store and thought I do a 0-60 pull. Switched to Comp. mode, mashed to floor boost was norm. Then as soon as it broke a bit of traction all power was gone. Lasted about 7 seconds and came back. Normally it would smoke the tires or could control wheelspin. So did this in "I" mode, traction off, still same results. Any ideas? Thanks all!
Kev

Yeah we could! Know its not normal though. Ill get Ruby in next week so she can stretch her legs out again lol. If I punch it though and not from stop but about 5mph it runs normal too, Almost sounds like a TC problem

A few of us with 2010 SS Autos have this issue. It's "normal", it's a function of the traction control system. Think of it as "Abuse Management".

Basically the system is ignoring the "TCS off" command, even though it signals that it is disengaged. I have the upgrade and it did it before and after. I tried to talk to More_Torque_More_HP about it. I think he missed the point, as he just quoted what was in SI. It's wrong...

Doesnt sound normal....yes, eng will cut back under certain conditions but not fall on its face....think about the problems this would cause trying to merge with traffic! You have other issues..

I hear you. BUT you have to get the front tires spinning pretty good, with the rear wheels not turning to get it to shut down. Normal driving, even merging with traffic, that doesn't happen.

For the record, I didn't say I liked it. I said it was "normal". Maybe if enough complain they'll change the calibration but I doubt it. It was done to lower warranty costs on the manual trans cars. I think they just carried the cal over to ALL SS vehicles.
