Anybody Cleaned SS Seats Yet???

My SS has the silver inserts and the driver's side is slightly discolored compared to the passenger's after 54k of pretty much only me in the car. Anybody braved cleaning a set yet and what did you use. Thanks.

I had a customer in DFW before I moved away, who had an SS. It has been a while, but if I remember, it has Suede inserts yes? If my memory is correct, then there really isn't anything you can do with it. Suede is a very particular material, and can easily be trucked up. Lint roller is a good way. As for the leather, APC @10:1 followed by D18 is what I used on leather vehicles.

Ultralux suede = synthetic suede .
Ice interior cleaner has worked well for me on the ultalux.
Scares you had first because its wet and changes color .
Cleans it best so far. Always looking for a better way . So post what you come up with.
Ice , Synthetic cleaner , For a synthetic leather . Go figure.

The "suede" is called ALCANTARA and here is what people suggest for cleaning it.

I've always dampened lightly with the spray, brush with a soft bristle brush and vacuumed out.

on the headliner i just slightly dampen and GENTLY wipe with a clean cloth

I don't have silver inserts.. mine are black so I suggest you do a sample area first.

I have never had a problem with any of the cars I have cleaned. I use woolite on everything dash seats and carpet.

I used turtle wax upholstery cleaner as it was just on sale at canadian tire.
foamed it on, massaged it in with my hand and used a synthetic shammy to extract it out as well as get clean any tough areas. then i used the upholstery part of my steam cleaner to extract the rest. BRAND NEW!

ps. the shammy was used with water. Also if you don't have a steam cleaner, use the vacuums at any car wash. Works in a pinch.
