Brake price & brand / tires plus vs dealer
Long story short... Tires Plus wants $599.00 out the door for Wagner ceramic pads with Qualis Rotors. Dealer wants $1,000 for GM or AC Delco ceramic pads and Rotors. Any opinions?

I re-edited once I realized you are talking SS, but no mention if Brembo or not:
Yeah they list only semi-metallic. Tire Plus might have not picked up on the SS model.

Save even more, by picking up pads and rotors and swapping them out yourself. There are some do-it-yourself posting here in the "How-to" section - not a difficult job at all really if one has the tools and a place to do it.
ie: for a 2006 but very similar process: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-tutorial-library-21/how-replace-rotors-pads-06-hhr-15226/

my ?
Do it yourself for under $300 for the top of the line pads and rotors...
obviously that would mean you have the tools and are somewhat mechanically inclined
I paid like $130 for the better(good, better, best) at an autoparts store...

just did mine recently
parts off ebay supplier, slotted rotors and ceramic pads, for under $150
took me about 8 hours or so cuz I painted my top hats on the rotors and painted my calipers too. to be honest this car is real easy to do the brakes
if I did not paint I think I could have had it all done in about 2 hrs or less
just gotta find a friend with a garage!

Wow. No way would I pay either one of those prices for a very simple job.
You could do this job just about anywhere that has a flat parking spot. An hour tops to swap them out.
Jack: You've got one with the car
Lugwrench: There's one with the jack
Wrench to remove the calipers: Buy one and you're still waaaay ahead.

Yeah when I had my house and tools I could but I just don't have the space, time or tools right now on top of a set of cracked ribs so I just want to get them done. Tires Plus said they'd use NAPA ceramic shoes and Rotors and the dealer honestly said to go there instead of paying the higher price he has to charge. Thanks for the input. Every time I get ready to pull the trigger on Stage 1 another expense comes up lol. I almost went trifecta last night but I really don't want to play games with my warranty.
