Post a/c problems

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the problem my car is having.
I have an 08 ss, the a/c compressor will quit randomly. While driving the air will get warm, sometimes it will start working again in 2-3 minutes, sometimes it may be 30-45 minutes. When its working its perfect. I'm not sure where to start searching for the problem.
Thanks for any input or suggestions anyone may have.
Scott

There are lots of thinks that can cause this symptom . It may be a cycle switch letting the system get too cold and freeze. Could be a low freon charge. The list can go on and on. Need to get the system checked out with the proper equipment so your not wasting money throwing parts at it.

I have checked the system with my gauges, there is a full charge on the system and it didnt appear to be a problem with it freezing up. The pressures remain in steady until it cuts off. As far as the temp, I'm not sure. I dont drive it, the wife does, I asked her to tell me if anything was weird when it happened such as the temp gauge. She didnt check the gauge, she checked the info center and said the temp was 192. Lucky you are right, the list of possibilities is endless. Guess I need to borrow the scanner from work and hopefully I can find something in the data stream that will point me in the right direction.

If you have access to a scanner you may find a code that can point you in the right direction. You need to get into the body controller to see ac sensors

You brought back this 3 week old thread to add that?? Have you considered looking for a real solution?
