Can I register my used Hhr online with Chevrolet?
2009 model year with the three year bumper to bumper which expired in August 2012. Since this was a peer to peer used vehicle purchase and I have not had dealer contact, Chevrolet will presumably not have me listed as owner and hence I would not receive any future notices regarding service issues they are aware of and willing to correct. Most notably on my mind the ignition lock binding issue. Is it possible for me to register as owner of this vehicle with Chevrolet online?
This is only from my own experience in 2009. No guarantees that it will work today, but I purchased a preowned 2008 unit with 6700 mi and registered it with the GM owner's site at that time. It still keeps me current with all recalls such as the fuel pump stud (paraphrasing, but I had it done) and the dash glovebox safety latch. They have a new format and the link is listed below. It may or may not work for you, but worth a try.

Interesting.... I bought my 08 panel from a private owner in '09 & never registered it anywhere.
Yet I got my letter for the ignition 'special coverage provision'..
But I have been to local dealer for some touch-up paint..& was a subscriber to OnStar*..

@toolbender, you can register your 2009 HHR on our Owner's Center site. I have registered my 1995 GMC Sierra and my 2004 Tahoe. This allows me to view things such as owner's manuals, recalls and things that nature.
