Myself, when mine gave the first hint of anything battery related about 1-1/2 years ago I didn't hesitate and bought an AGM. Mine is a 2008, yours a 2010... Had the factory battery sitting on a bench and when I did check the voltage about 2 weeks later voltage was down to 10 volts.

My opinion, don't waste your time getting it checked, just replace it.

p0010 is for the intake VVT solenoid - - very easy to replace. the intake is the one towards the front of the car. VERY COMMON ISSUE on GM 4 cyl's. i work for an extended warranty company for 16 yrs. i got mine at the local o'reilly auto parts store for $45 - - - it has a lifetime warranty - - the GM one costs more & only has a 1 yr warranty. took about 15 min. to replace. unplug the connector, remove a 10mm bolt & then pull it out of the cyl head - - that's the hardest part - it gets a little stuck in there & finally pops out.

Thanks for the clarification andyb.
Not a problem for me. Been turning wrenches on cars for a long time. Gonna do both solenoids and take care of the valve cover gasket seepage at the same time.

But 1st the fun part is I need to replace the rear main seal in my 98 Dodge Ram. Not looking forward to that because I may have to loosen the tranny in order to get the oil pan off.

FMG, also look near the HPFP area to see if it is leaking there. Mine was, sheared oring from factory.

There is a TSB about the HPFP something about the cam cap.

Dennis. Funny you should mention the HPFP. When my SS was new, I had a small bit of seepage there. Didn't want the dealer to touch it so I just kept a watch on it. It had leaked enough to saturate the foam insulator around the pump. I just pulled off the insulator and kept watching.
Now the funny part is over the years that seepage has pretty much stopped.
(the insulator is still in a ziplock bag in my parts cabinet)

The leaky area that shows up now is at the front of the engine. Posted a picture in another thread that shows the spot.

It's probably just some loosened VC bolts but what the heck. I'll be replacing the solenoids so may as well pull the cover and clean it at the same time.

Found it.

How’s about a closeup if that area when y’all get the air filter box out of the way!
That would be awesome George!

I certainly understand not wanting the dealer to touch it. They've only touched mine once, that was when they did the upgrade. The tech thought the rocker cover was a great place to rest his feet while he was loading the new tune. Most of those guys are hacks with a badge saying they know what they're doing.

Update.
Haven't replaced the solenoids or got to that pesky oil leak yet. No oil change either. OLM is at 58%.

No CEL's since my last post................until yesterday. I've been driving the car with the RPD unit set to monitor the phasers (solenoids). Went to Wally World about 7 miles, no problems. Came out and started the car. Noticed that the intake side phaser gauge didn't move. Hmmm. No CEL showing.
OK. Went about half way back home, pulled over and turned the car off. After 2 restarts, the CEL came on and the intake phaser still showed nothing on the gauge.
Pulled the codes. Same P0010, P0011 as before. BUT, I haven't seen any return of the misfire codes I got that 1 time.

Anyhow. Here's some RPD pics for you folks to ponder.
(Not sure why but it won't load the picture that shows the intake phaser not reading )
