Spring is intact, bushings went bad. Chevy told me they could order the part in and overnight it. Called me today saying that the order was cancelled due to "no availability". Asked when they would have more, and they dont know. As of right now, there are none in the country. Anyone know where to get another spring & bushing kit before i go rage on my local parts desk?

None in the Country? I find this hard to believe. My spring broke last summer in Lancaster, PA, I got the part number online, called 3 dealerships and found one in a day. Someone somewhere has got to have one. Start calling dealerships? Carparts.com?

I'll dig around, maybe I didn't throw my old ones out. Long shot.

Its just the bushing, but it only comes as a kit so i might as well replace it all. Ive been calling dealerships all day. Everyone that checks tells me "no availability" and they cant give me an ETA on when they'll have them again. And does that kit from GMpartsgiant come with the bushings or just the spring?

 

I believe it comes with the bushings, but I'd call GM Parts Giant before ordering just to be sure.

Called gm parts giant and rock auto. Both are out of stock with no ETA. Chevy corpo did call me back and agreed to endorse my complaint and we'll see where this goes.....

 

I sent a copy of this thread to Michelle at Chevrolet Customer Service to see if she has a way of shaking the parts loose from a dealer's inventory for you.

She should be in touch with you one way or the other Wolfblitz.
