A bit of an update because the issue is back and the car is now just shy of 25k miles. Had a module (?) connector replaced last year (the one that is a pretty common issue on these cars) and haven't had a problem with starts.

But here it is Autumn again and I'm wondering if gas stations (remember when we called them "service stations"? sigh) have put in their "winter mix"?

Anyone run an octane boost regularly?

I run a bottle of 104 Octane boost every so often (about once every 10K miles roughly). I use 93 octane gas religiously and haven't had any hard start problems (knocks on Redwood!).
