Should I replace the whole thing or just the connector/seal at the top?

It appears to be leaking coolant. Which would explain my coolant leak and possibly my boost leak?

There may be coolant on it but I don’t believe there’s any coolant flowing through it, just air.
remove it and inspect for cracks or damage

There is no coolant in the inter cooler or it’s piping. The only way to get coolant inside there would be thru the turbo.
In other words, a bad turbo/seal.

I just replaced the turbo. Assuming everything on the turbo itself is good, what else might it be?

The turbo is the only part of the charge system that has coolant running through it. So if there is coolant inside the system, it came from the turbo. Maybe it was leftover coolant that leaked from that old worn out turbo ?

You need to confirm that it is coolant “inside” the system. If so, you’ll need to clean out the entire system of any coolant. Then figure out if it came from the old or new turbo.

I think I see an AC line, and the compressor is right there, could it be refrigerant?

I've put a few hundred miles with the new turbo. I would have assumed it would have cleared out by now?

And that AC line is bone dry. It's 99% from that connector.

Cleared out how ? Only thing that moves thru there is air. Under small pressure.
If you assumed that was going to clean out a sticky liquid in a closed environment, then you assumed wrong.

Did you clean the charge piping while you had it all apart?

The water might have evaporated but the glycol, not so much.

What was the answer to the "pop" you experienced?
