P0236 Code Help

My HHR SS has the issue with a P0236 code set in the ECM. It will not accelerate or go over 5#'s of boost. I have no SES lite on but the code is set the ECM anyone that has had this code come up ever find a fix? So far the dealer has no answers. Thanks, Jason

Same code, same boost. Solder wires, no more problems. Puts the Yeee-Haa back in your driving.

Also make sure they put convoluted tubing over the wires in the lower sensor to prevent any future probems.

Are there official GM directions saying the solution is soldering the wires? My SS is about to go in to get this repaired for the 2nd time - Seems like every 6 months the connectors go.
When I talked to my new dealer (old dealer is gone) he said that they could only solder if directed by GM otherwise I would have to pay for the soldering work.

Gah wish I would've seen this a little while ago, I'm sitting in the waiting room now with the exact same issue. I mentioned a few things including soldering the wires, possibly bracing the IC forward, and making sure nothing is pressing into the condenser or anything. Forgot about the convoluted tubing.

It's weird, both times I've brought the car in for this issue the boost has randomly come back on my way into the dealership, even though the CEL has stayed on. This time, it worked about half the times I gunned it on the way in, the other half it dogged completely.

Just got the diagnosis - water from the AC condenser got into the wiring, they're going to re-route the wiring.

If you do a search on here you'l get all the updated notes on the install. There's a very long thread on this that More_hp_More_Tq started up where you can see/read everything we've been saying here. It's stickied in the 2.0L performance section and covers all the info on the GM Upgrade. Just copy n paste the necessary info and bring it to your dealer.

Thats sound like a plan. I going to print out as much as possible as to take to this dealer. From talking to the service dept they have not done any upgrade installs. I'm a little concerned but at least they remade my appointment when they had the right tech on duty to work on it.

Thanks Bill

That is a super idea (which I did before my install), but the tech had no interest in reading it. I also voiced my concerns about wire routing and poor crimping being an issue. He did seem receptive to that. So far, it works great...
