Slave Cylinder needs to be replaced

I need to replace my slave cylinder, so based on the information here I am going to replace the master cylinder also. How much trouble is this to do and how long might it take to replace them? Does anyone have a step by step that I could see or get?

Well, I can tell you that on an LT you have to remove the fuse box, which is an incredible PITA. That's why I returned the Brake Master Cylinder I bought. I can only guess that an SS is a lot more involved just to get to the 2 bolts.

Your terminology differs from Mitchell's, they mention an actuator not a slave but don't go into detail I presume that it's internal.

Check your PM for a link to a Mitchell pdf of replacing the Clutch Master Cylinder.

Slave cylinder is inside the transmission bell housing. Pretty much have to drop the transmission to get to it.

Yea I have figured out that I must drop the transmission, does anyone have the procedure on how? Does it have to come all the out or can you just crack it open and replace the slave cylinder?

It slides on the input shaft so unless you can get the input shaft out of the engine side you will not be able to get it out.
